Life can be pretty stressful. (Even when you’re not trying to live through a pandemic!) It can be extremely easy to get burned out and exhausted. Making sure you take time to focus on relieving stress can benefit your life in many ways.
How to Relieve Stress with Hobbies
Do you have a favorite book, TV show or movie? Try reading or watching them again to relax. Bonus points if your favorite TV show or movie is a comedy. Laughing is also another way you can lower your stress levels! A fan of music? Try learning to play an instrument. Not only will it lower your stress, it’ll be a cool new skill.
How to Relieve Stress Physically
Yoga is an excellent way to get some exercise as well as relax. It can also release a lot of tension in your body! If you enjoy exercising, try setting a routine exercise schedule. The exercise will give you endorphins which will actually make you feel happier. Try drinking stress relief tea. You can purchase a wide variety of tea flavors that will help calm you down and sleep better.
Other Ways to Relieve Stress
Caffeine is great for that boost of early morning energy, but drinking too much can actually increase anxiety! Try cutting back and see if it helps you relax more. Chewing gum is also an quick and easy way to relieve stress. If you have a pet, try spending more time with them. If you don’t have a pet, see if you can volunteer at an animal shelter. Not only will you be helping the community, you’ll get to spend time with animals and lower your stress levels.
