When planning your next big trip, you typically only worry about how you are going to get there and what you will do when you arrive. However, when you are in the hotel getting ready for bed, you realize you forgot your phone charger, your tooth brush and your pajamas. While these are all easily replaced, I am going to give you some tips and tricks on how to pack like a pro so that you don't forget anything and can make the most of the tiny space within your suitcase.

The most important thing to do when packing is: make a list of what you need. This may sound trivial, but by writing down what you want to take and then checking it off when you add the item to your suitcase ensures that you have included everything. The list can be as detailed as "Monday: jean shorts, floral blouse, brown sandals" to "5 pairs of shorts and 5 tops that match." It all depends on what works best for you.

While physically adding the items to your suitcase, roll your clothes instead of folding them. This simple trick will allow you to cram everything into a carry-on instead of having to pay for a bag check. You may also want to bring clothes that can be worn multiple times, and even stay at a location that has a washing machine so that you can wash your clothes on the go.

If you are going to check a bag, you will want to carry all your essential items, and a change of clothes, onto the plane with you, just in case your luggage gets lost.

After all of this planning, you deserve a vacation! So happy packing, and travel with ease.
